This test ensures that the column strength of non-refillable (NR) plastic bottles is sufficient to meet minimum performance specifications for vertical loading during peak load application. Empty bottles must withstand top load from counter-pressure at filling or during normal warehousing operations. Filled bottles must withstand the compressive force of warehouse stacking.
