CETIE Guide 9Guide 9 - Metallic Screw Capping for Pressurised Wines on BVS glass with redraw_CETIE
This guide applies to the screw capping of pressurised wines & other beverages for narrow necks finishes with a redrawn metallic tamper-evident closure on a "BVS type" glass finish adapted for pressure caps. Includes sections on checking load setting on lateral rollers, vertical load by capping head, removal and reverse/strip torque testing. The BVS finish is adapted to the redrawing of the closure on application. This redraw provides a double seal, on the top and the side of the finish. The increased in contact surface between the liner and the glass optimises the sealing performance necessary for wine and the resistance to a slight internal pressure in the bottle.
