This guide applies to the screw capping of non-carbonated beverages and products with a metallic tamper-evident closure. Bottles may also be fitted with an in-bore insert for product flow control or to prevent re-filling. Contains reference to load checking of capping machines, torque testing of closures, pull-out force of non-refill closures.
Typical beverages and products covered by the present guide are (non-exhaustive list): − Non-carbonated alcoholic drinks; − Spirits; − Non-carbonated mineral waters; − Non-carbonated soft drinks; − Syrups and fruit juices; − Edible oil; − Vinegar; − Certain pharmaceutical products.
