Our client was testing the release torque of 20 mm long plastic catheter caps with irregular features to aid finger gripping. The test is performed by hand with a digital torque sensor, but achieving maximum grip and quick insertion required customisation. Mecmesin designed a multi-finger mandrel to ensure maximum contact and exact axial alignment. This improved the accuracy of the test through repeatability and cost savings through efficiency in use.
