Requirement

Seoul Metropolitan Railway Transit Corporation required a system for testing a variety of springs in their electric railcars. The springs range in size from 3mm to 100 mm in diameter.

Solution

To meet the specification, Mecmesin's distributor A&D Korea supplied a test system consisting of a MultiTest 10-i twin column test frame, driven by Emperor software, two intelligent loadcells and a selection of compression plates suitable for testing a wide variety of springs. This system is used to apply a compressive force to the springs with a pass/fail criteria of equal to or greater than 300 N. The customer chose Mecmesin MultiTest 10-i because the software is easy-to-use and the test system is price competitive.
